About Stephen
Growing up with a deep passion for sports, Stephen spent much of his childhood playing baseball. After graduating from Colony High School, Stephen discovered his true calling in the newsroom, where he found purpose in giving a voice to those often unheard and helping others make informed decisions. He pursued this passion at the University of La Verne, where he trained in both broadcast and print journalism. During his time there, he gained hands-on experience as an assistant broadcast coordinator at the Chino-3 government television station. Additionally, he held two editor positions on the University of La Verne's award-winning Campus Times Newspaper and co-produced episodes for Foothill Community News, honing his skills in copy editing, writing, videography, photography, and team management.
He enjoys covering a wide variety of stories, including foreign and domestic politics, sports, music, cars and art. He hopes to start his career on the diamond as a sports journalist or in the field as a political correspondent.
Outside of the newsroom, he enjoys listening to a variety of music, including hip-hop and soul. He also enjoys spending time with his four golden retrievers.
Stories are meant to comfort the afflicted, and afflict the comfortable.
